Friends...

A friend of mine called me this past weekend to see if I wanted to go back to a local nursery to take some more pictures, more specifically, "flower" pictures. I love taking pictures and was intrigued by the invite because I have never really thought about going out to take "only" flower pictures.
After one hour this is what I ended up with... photo-wise.
However... better than any picture I could ever capture was the chat-time we were able to sneak in! I hate that we have been so busy lately that we haven't had the oppurtunity to get together for some "girl time".

Thanks Deb, I loved the invitation to hang out with you, and oh how I miss our weekly "therapy".

If you are ever in Middletown, Md, please stop by the beautiful Surreybrooke Gardens, home to some of the most unusual plants you will ever see. And if you happen to see people there with cameras that are doing more chatting, laughing and giggling than taking pictures, don't mind them, it just may be the first time they've seen each other in a long time.

God gives us relatives; thank God we can choose our own friends

Scavenger Hunt -- May 12, 2013

perspective - golden - bloom - dark - local

Perspective
Nothing like a childs perspective on life, enjoy today and keep the future a blur in your window.

Golden
I love the golden tones on the outside of these daisy petals

Bloom
The gorgeous flowers at the local greenhouse

Dark
We have had our share of rain lately, luckily we were able to get most of lacrosse practice in before the next bit of rain which quickly followed these ominous dark clouds.

Local
The beautiful wisteria (I think) at the local nursery.

I hope all the moms out there enjoyed your Mother's Day yesterday, I know I did!

Scavenger Hunt

weather - background - sweet - motion - spotted or dots

Weather

This bucket is looks to be waiting around for some bad weather or at least some rain to catch! Not today though!

Background

I love the background in this window.

Sweet

I know spring has finally arrived when I smell the sweet scent of the lilacs!

Motion

Nothing like a quiet stream on a warm spring day

Spotted or Dots

Not sure what causes the spots on this bench, I heard once it was due to acid rain (ack), whatever the reason, it is quite organically beautiful!

Enjoy your week!
